Random House 2017
This novel is phenomenal.
The extremely relatable and true-to-life characters have wonderful development. I found myself loving and hating every single person that is introduced (not an exaggeration). No one is safe.
I also love the horror movie tropes, this reads like a slasher but not as cheesy. The flashbacks that are periodically placed between slices of present day are well done and do not make you think too hard to follow it back and forth, which is not easily done. These flashback slowly but surely enlighten the reader and character’s memory. Imagery is big in this story and pretty gruesome.
